Counselor’s Corner
My name is Martha D. Sepulveda, and I am so happy to be the counselor at Martin Elementary. This is my 20th year in education, and my 14th year in Alief ISD.
Welcome back Martin Mustangs! It is wonderful to have students back on campus. For some of our students, it is the first time back since March 2020, and it can be a bit overwhelming to be back in a regular classroom. We are doing all we can to ensure everyone is safe and healthy so they can do their best learning.
This year, we will be using Character Strong (Purposeful People) as our social and emotional learning curriculum. Each month, we will focus on one character trait to study and put into practice at school and home. Please see each month's character trait, color, and read the Purposeful Family Home Newsletter. The newsletter will explore the month's character trait and include activities and resources families can use.
Every first Thursday of each month, we will wear a specific color to kick off our month long study!
